Homosexuality under attack in Uganda.
Remember that statement regarding life in Nazi Germany.
This is not a quote but the gist of it was:
'When the Gestapo came for homosexuals I didn't protest because I wasn't a homosexual.
When they came for the Jews I didn't protest because I wasn't a Jew.
When they came for me .........etc.'
Religious gangsters now have homosexuals under attack. The Ugandan parliament is making laws to attack them and in so doing to suppress free speech at the same time.
Clearly this sort of thing is part of a larger agenda to attack human rights in general.
Uganda is a country overwhelmed by religion and religious thugs.
Perhaps you can think of a form of assistance you want to carry out in support to the association mentioned in the article.
Money is always helpful. Another possibility is approaching the Foreign Minister re support from whatever Australian representative office we have in Uganda.

Do you realize that a bunch
Do you realize that a bunch of US evangelists were involved in encouraging the attacks on gays in Uganda.
Even the Anglican church doesn't approve of gay bashing and you can pick up on an article by a guy called Adrian Phoon giving the background to this on one of their websites.

I'm not a Jew. I'm not a homosexual. I do know however that my freedom depends on my being willing to help defend theirs.
According the President of
According the President of Iran, there is no homosexuality in his country. Problem solved.
How we treat people who are a
How we treat people who are a bit different from us is a measure of the degree to which we are civilized.
There is not one amongst us
There is not one amongst us that does not carry some responsibility for the people our society produces. Not even the burglars, drug traffickers, rapists, murderers and including homosexuals. For us then to condone the inflicting of even more pain is unmitigated barbarism beyond belief.
